- WAKISO – a vocational training center in Entebbe / Uganda
Johann Schill, a board member and lecturer for artisanal projects at HIFA, supported the expansion of vocational training center WAKISO in Uganda by donating 3,500 € for equipment and tools such as welding and drilling machines, sewing machines, and gas stoves. He also discussed an agricultural project and potential cooperation with project lecturer Dipl. Ing. Festus Imarhiagbe.

HIFA and DI Festus Imarhiagbe are working together to empower the people in the villages of Urulokpa and Lokpa in Nigeria to become self-sufficient through agriculture and small livestock husbandry. The concept aims for a circular economy and will enable people to feed themselves and their families. In March, the first steps of training were initiated. HIFA urgently appeals for support for this project.

The HIFA team was able to quickly and successfully implement the school project in Uru Lokpaukwu, and the school was able to open its doors in September. With the help of donations, the building was adapted and the equipment was purchased. The women of the village are very grateful for the quick help and welcomed the sisters at a small celebration. The school project was a much-needed help, and we appeal for further support to secure funding and continue to provide educational opportunities for the children in Uru Lokpaukwu.

- Slum Project in Okpoko/Anambra State
This project in the slum area of Okpoko is led by Dr. Joyce Ezeugo. Its aim is to alleviate the health problems of the population by training multipliers in the areas of hygiene, nutrition, women’s health, and natural birth control. Together with Aktion Regen, tools have been developed for use in the slums. Regular free medical care is offered in various villages in the slum area to help families who cannot afford medical care. The most common health problems are infectious diseases, parasites, diabetes, and high blood pressure.
- Microfinance loans – Success with small loans!
HIFA microcredits help women and men in Nigeria to start small businesses or run market stalls. HIFA charges only a small processing fee of 1%. Since 2009, over €10,000 has been disbursed as start-up capital, and many applicants have successfully repaid loans. Due to the project’s success, we are requesting further support in the amount of €10,000.

Rehacenter Recdot provides children and young people in Nigeria with physical disabilities the opportunity for a more independent life.
