Transparency & Accountability

The activities and projects of HIFA are solely financed by donations, membership fees, and legacies (inheritances). Your donation is tax-deductible in Austria. All donations are used where you wish and have communicated to us on your payment slip or transfer.

The financial management of HIFA is audited by a certified public accountant who has completed a degree in business administration. The members of HIFA appointed the accountant as the auditor during the general meeting.

Additionally, HIFA is audited annually by an external auditor. A positive audit result is a requirement for you to be able to claim your donations as tax deductions.

Occasionally, people also want to help us beyond death and remember us in their will.

We thank you for the trust these people put in us. We fulfill these last wishes gladly and with utmost care and respect because every single amount is used by us according to your wishes. We are aware that bequeathing is a matter of trust!

So, the donation lives on in the children and their relatives who have been helped to see a future in their lives again.

Membership is the backbone of the organisation. It enables the organization’s sustainability, secures its democratic development, and also the financial requirements of activities. The membership fee is €22 per year, and membership can be terminated at any time.
